Interbike's retailer educational offerings include a return of The Mann Group, plus expanded e-bike offerings

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Interbike has announced several new and returning retail education opportunities at this year's show.

The Mann Group returns with two 4-hour, IBD-specific retail management sessions and manufacturers including SRAM, Shimano, FOX, and Campagnolo will offer technical training. New for 2015 are more e-bike training sessions on the show floor in Interbike's new Electric Theatre, presented by Bosch.

The two Mann Group sessions are condensed versions of Mann's multi-day seminars. This years' sessions are "Driving Performance & Profitability Through Leadership" and "GEAR Training – The Mann Group's Cutting Edge Sales Management Program." They are being held Tuesday Sept. 15 and Friday Sept. 18, respectively. Retailers must register in advance at interbike.com/education/mann-u-at-interbike. At press time, both sessions were more than 50 percent filled through pre-registration.

E-bike training in The Electric Theatre, presented by BOSCH include:

  • The Dirt on eMTB's, presented by IMBA
  • Guerilla Marketing: Create a Local E-Bike Presence in an Industry with Little National Branding, presented by ExtraEnergy.org
  • Making E-Bike Access Easier Through State Legislation, presented by PeopleForBikes


"Whether it's The Mann Group, tech seminars, or one-on-one conversations in the dirt at OutDoor Demo, our attendees are constantly learning about trends, products, techniques, etc," said Pat Hus, the vice president of Interbike. "We are committed to bringing the most current and informative educational content to Interbike that we can, to help the betterment of our IBD's."
