BERKELEY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Industry veteran Blair Clark has joined GU Energy Labs, where he will lead the nutrition brand's sales efforts as vice president of sales. Clark has been senior vice president of sales and marketing for Smith Optics for the past 11 years. Prior to that he was general manager and vice president of sales at Specialized, and worked at Giro in a variety of positions, including as president.
Gu said it is making a major boost to its sales force. Besides hiring Clark, the company also announced Monday that Jon Parker has been hired as senior regional sales manager for the East and that Laura O'Meara, formerly GU's national sales manager for IBDs, has been promoted to regional sales manager for the West. Moritz Hoemke continues to lead Gu's international business. Parker comes to GU with over 20 years of sales experience in the sports and outdoor industries. Most recently he was the National Sales Manager at Montrail/Columbia Sportswear. O'Meara has worked at Gu since mid-2013, managing 12 agencies and 34 independent reps in the cycling world. As an endurance athlete, she's won The North Face Endurance Trail Championships 50k in 2013 and raced in the XTerra Triathlon World Championships.
Clark said, "I look forward to spending the next chapter of my life focused on helping Gu expand on its position as a leader in performance nutrition.
