SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Giro Sport Design has promoted two veterans and added one new hire in its marketing department.

Dain Zaffke and Eric Richter have been promoted to Marketing Director and Senior Brand Development Manager, respectively. Amanda Schaper has joined the company as cycling marketing manager.

"As Giro Sport Design continues to grow and reach new consumers as a new kind of outdoor adventure brand, we're proud to have Giro veterans like Dain and Eric take on new roles and new challenges," said Giro executive vice president and general manager Greg Shapleigh. "And having Amanda join us bolsters our already outstanding marketing team, enabling us to continue to meet and exceed the changing demands of the business environment."

Zaffke joined BRG Sports (then Easton-Bell Sports) in 2010, following work as marketing manager of Wilderness Trail Bikes and as an associate editor of Bike magazine. He served as Giro's brand manager of cycling helmets before focusing on Easton Cycling. He will now oversee marketing for all of Giro's categories including bike, snow, and apparel.

Richter has been with Giro marketing for more than 13 years. His new role combines brand strategy, cultural engagement, merchandising and strategic account support.

Schaper was the marketing manager at Crank Brothers for four years and most recently worked at Giant/Liv as global product marketing specialist. As Giro Cycling's marketing manager, she will be responsible for Giro's social media, go-to-market assets and advertising planning.
