NEW YORK (BRAIN) — Charlie Issendorf, most recently a vice president at Champion System, has joined startup virtual training company Zwift as vice president of events for North America.

Zwift will have a public launch Tuesday. The company is promising to deliver a stationary cycling product that works like a multi-player video game.

Issendorf will be based in New York and will begin his duties for Zwift immediately.

"Adding an industry veteran like Charlie will really help us with connections to the best riders and racers, independent bicycle dealers, brands and influencers," said Zwift founder Eric Min. "Our ambition is to grow a massive community of users, all connected by our platform. To do that we'll need Charlie, who has competed at a high level as an amateur cyclist, has built brands from scratch and is well respected as an event promoter. I can't think of a better person who has a good sense for what our community is looking for in Zwift."
