Published July 1, 2014

ROANOKE, Va. (BRAIN) — Starlight Custom Cycling Apparel has hired Scottie Weiss to work with graphic design, media, and product development.

Weiss has more than 10 years' experience designing custom apparel. He also spent years as a professional road cyclist on teams like GoMart/West Virginia and Kenda Pro Cycling. In 2002 he was the U.S. Elite Road Champion.

"Scottie's experience in apparel design will help us get to the next level as a national brand. Right now we're a very strong regional brand but it's time to take the next step," said Starlight owner Stratton Delany.

Weiss has already begun working on new marketing initiatives, including producing a short video (below) for the new inline Starlight Fluo14 kit design. The video features two Starlight Elite Team riders showcasing the Fluo14 design while riding the scenic mountains of Southwest Virginia.

Starlight Custom Apparel started in 2010 out of the Starlight Bicycles retail store in Roanoke, Virginia. Its custom clients have included Swiftwick Socks, Clean Bottle, the Ethiopian National Team, and the Texas High School Cycling League.
