BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) – Car rack manufacturer RockyMounts has contracted with GSD Global, LLC to assist in product development, the companies announced this week.

GSD Global was formed last year by several designers who used to work for Dorel's Cycling Sports Group.

“To meet our growth strategies, we need to be working with the best design and engineering talent available," said Bruno Maier, president of RockyMounts, and a former Dorel executive himself. "That is why we’re excited to work with GSD Global. Their combined experience and understanding of the bike industry will help us create the best products for the market."

Maier joined RockyMounts last October after a stint with Bikes Belong. Since then the company has restructured its product team, launched new low-profile towers and bars and a new upright bike carrier.

“RockyMounts is a sleeping giant,” said Aaron Bethlenfalvy, GSD's chief designer. “And GSD has the tools and experience to wake its full potential. The real winner will be the consumer.”
