SURREY, British Columbia (BRAIN) — Bike parking rack supplier Reliance Foundry is holding a competition for bike commuters that will award a grand prize of $5,000 in bike equipment to the commuter who can "best express how biking to work has impacted their life and/or the lives of their co-workers or employees."

The "Pedals for Professionals" contest will judge entries that are slide shows, videos, essays or whatever medium the entrant chooses. Submissions will be accepted until May 24; the winner will be announced May 26, Canada's Bike to Work Day.

This is the first consumer contest ever held by Reliance, a British Columbia company that specializes in architectural metal castings, including bike racks and bollards.
