Cox leads Electra following Hess' exit

Published February 7, 2014

VISTA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Following Skip Hess’ sudden departure from Electra last week, sales and marketing vice president Kevin Cox has been promoted to company president effective immediately.

“I’m honored to be charged with leading this brand that so many people love,” said Cox. “It’s a huge responsibility, but with the talented people we have here in Vista, I’m really looking forward to creating more great experiences for our customers and a spectacular brand for our retailers.”

Cox has served in his VP role since January 2012, and has been instrumental in directing the brand during his time at Electra, the company said in a statement. He will lead Trek-owned Electra from its headquarters in Vista, Calif.

Retailers should not expect any disruption in normal business operations, the company added.
