MILWAUKEE, WI (BRAIN) — A Wisconsin gallery opening next month will feature photos from an upcoming book on cyclocross.
The book, Endure: Ballet in the Mud, is being published by the Wisconsin Bike Federation. It features the work of four photographers and one author, Gary Boulanger. The photos were taken at the 2013 USA Cycling cyclocross nationals, held in Wisconsin last January. The photographers are Peter DiAntoni, Darren Hauck, Jeffrey Phelps and Dave Schlabowske.
The book will be available next month on the federation’s website and elsewhere for $35.
The opening will be held Nov. 7 at Hanson Dodge Creative, 220 East Buffalo St. in Milwaukee. Hanson Dodge Creative is a nationally known advertising creative agency whose clients have included Thule and Trek Bicycle.
“The cycling industry has been a huge part of our work for more than two decades,” said Ken Hanson, CEO and founder of Hanson Dodge Creative. “Showcasing this stunning photography is a great way to bring the cycling and creative communities together. The show celebrates our ongoing commitment to the cycling industry and supports the efforts of Wisconsin Bike Fed.”
The showing will run from Nov. 7, through Feb. 28, 2014. An invitation-only opening reception will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 7. The exhibition is free and open to the public beginning Nov. 8.
