Dice, Schwinn to be recognized at OIWC awards

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN) — The Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition will recognize Jenn Dice, VP of government relations at Bikes Belong, and Anna Schwinn, lead engineer at QBP, with the Pioneering Woman and First Ascent awards at its annual Thought Leader and Awards presentation at Interbike next week. 

The annual OIWC awards presentation and keynote by Elysa Walk, general manager of Giant USA, will be held Sept. 18, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Islander Ballroom C at the Mandalay Bay. 

Walk will speak on the top five myths of the bike industry, sharing insight and her expertise on how women and men can break through bike business paradigms to grow the industry. The presentation will address the buying and political power of women as well as how to best market to, sell to and employ women in our industry.

The OIWC will also co-host a happy hour with Spokeswomen on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Women’s Lounge. 

The Women Mean Business Happy Hour will include a raffle with prizes from sponsors Giant Bicycles, Women Bike, Shebeest, Nantucket Bike Basket and Interbike, as well as Moxie Cycling, Pedal Chic, Terry Bicycles, Active Angelz, Action Wipes, Advanced Sports International and Specialized.
