FORT COLLINS, CO (BRAIN) — Swobo has hired Kevin Murphy as director of sales and marketing.
Murphy will be responsible for increasing sales efforts via Swobo’s IBD network and online partners. Additionally, he will lead Swobo’s marketing initiatives.
“We are really excited for Kevin to join us. His background in the industry, experience with start-up brands, and passion for Swobo is beyond reproach,” said Peter Discoe, Swobo's president. “Plus, he simply gets the legacy of the brand and everything new that we’re trying to do. He’s a great fit for our team.”
Murphy who will remain based in Portland, Ore. Murphy spent the last number of years working as sales manager for Showers Pass and most recently Portland Design Works, both located in Portland.
“I’m pleased to hear that Swobo is following our lead and hiring the unemployable,” said Gene Oberpriller of One on One Bicycle Studio in Minneapolis, Minn., one of Swobo’s first and longest standing dealers. “I’ve known Kevin for many years and he will fit right in with the likes of Swobo.”
