USA CRITS finals at Interbike to include Industry Cup and relay race

Published August 2, 2013

LAS VEGAS, NV (BRAIN) — The USA CRITS series finals, to be held in Las Vegas during the Interbike show next month, will now feature an Industry Cup race open to bike industry members with USA Cycling licenses for categories 1 through 4, as well as a cruiser relay race for four-person teams using one bike.

The event will be held the evening of Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Interbike's new home.

The main events are the finals of the USA CRITS series, a 10-race series that began in March in Tucson, Arizona. The women's race is at 7 and the men's is at 8:30.

The fun begins, however, with the first Industry Cup race, at 6 and on the same 1 kilometer course to be used by the pros.  The Industry Cup is open to teams of four to six riders, and all team members must belong to the same company. Registration can be completed on Bikereg.com. If you have any questions about registering, contact Ashley@gobike1.com.

Prior to the men's finals, the Cruiser Celeb Relay Race presented by NiteIZE will be held at 8. Teams of four will compete in a relay using a single bike per team. Points will be awarded based on final placing and racing style. Complete rules are available by emailing usacrits@gobike1.com.

Awards will be presented at 10.
