Published June 27, 2013
PROVIDENCE, RI (BRAIN) — This year's Providence Cyclo-cross Festival opens a day early and features extra clinics for beginners, women and kids. The festival is now Oct. 4-6 and is being held once again at Roger Williams Park, within the city of Providence.

Besides UCI-santioned racing, the festival includes an industry expo and a new program to connect local school kids with pro racers, cyclocross clinics for adults, and a one-lap industry race on Friday.

The festival is held concurrently with the New England Bike/Walk Summit, which is held at the Providence Biltmore hotel, the festival's host hotel. A Builder's Ball also is being held at the Biltmore on Friday evening and the Gran Fondo New England is part of the weekend schedule.
