20-year veteran of Cannondale leaves parent company

Published June 24, 2013

BETHEL, CT (BRAIN) — Jeff McGuane, president of Dorel’s Cycling Sports Group Global, has resigned.

McGuane had been at the company for nearly 20 years, working his way up the ranks. He started at Cannondale in 1994 as a credit manager, but he served in various roles through the years including president of Cannondale Europe, president of Cannondale Japan, and president of CSG North America.

Cycling Sports Group offered this statement Monday:

“Jeff has stepped down. It was a personal decision. He’s been an important part of the company for a long time and we’re sad to see him go and we really wish him well.”

Officials declined to comment further on the circumstances for McGuane’s departure.

The news of his departure comes as CSG readies to host its annual dealer sales meeting in Deer Valley, Utah. More than 300 dealers will get to preview 2014 bike lines on Wednesday and Thursday, following Cycling Sports Group’s annual global sales meeting, which took place Saturday through Monday of this week.
