Diadora to launch bike line in U.S.

Published September 11, 2012

KENT, WA (BRAIN) — Diadora will launch its bike, clothes and accessories line in the U.S. at the Interbike Expo in Las Vegas next week.

The line is being introduced by Golden Viking Sports, a division of Canada-based INA International and the licensee of the Diadora brand in North America.

The line includes 25 bike models, with road, mountain, urban, sport/comfort, and kids’ categories. The retail prices will range from $200 for kids bikes to $6,000 for adult road models.

The line also includes cycling shorts and jerseys, and accessories including helmets, gloves, bike computers, bags and panniers, pumps, bottles and cages, bells, and compact tools.

Bill Nuttall, the vice president of Golden Viking Sports, said the Diadora line will be sold through independent bicycle specialty dealers, general sporting goods retailers, and outdoor specialty stores that have established bike programs. The Spring 2013 line is slated for February 1 delivery.

“Given the rich history of Diadora cycling footwear, we are excited to present an extensive brand
extension of products that are designed for our specific distribution channels,” Nuttall said.

Besides Diadora, GVS distributes Hot Wheels and Trax children’s footwear in the U.S.
