BikeRumor.com tops 3 million monthly pageviews

Published September 11, 2012

GREENSBORO, NC (BRAIN) — Bikerumor.com says its traffic continues to grow each month this year and its monthly pageview total topped 3 million in August.

"I've been watching the numbers, and I knew our Eurobike coverage would push us past 3 million," said Tyler Benedict, the site's founder and editor.

"We topped 2 million for the first time last year, and we don't see any signs of slowing."

Benedict launched the site in July 2008. It offers news about new products from across the bicycle market.

By comparison, BikeRadar.com recently announced that it was receiving almost 30 million pageviews each month, worldwide.

But Bikerumor's growth is undeniable.

"Our growth is humbling," Benedict said. "We're just enjoying ourselves and are fortunate to have attracted some really talented new writers this year that have boosted our reach and range of topics."

Bikerumor.com will have five writers covering next week's Interbike Expo, Benedict said.
