BOULDER, CO (BRAIN) — Josh Patterson, the former editor of Dirt Rag magazine, is joining Future Plc.'s Bike Radar U.S. team as a technical writer.

Patterson will officially start with BikeRadar on Monday, Sept. 17,  the first day of OutDoor Demo for Interbike.

Patterson holds a master’s degree in journalism, and he grew up working in bike shops. He and his wife will be moving to Colorado to join the BikeRadar U.S. staff of James Huang and Ben Delaney.

“Josh understands all the complexities of the bicycle and can clearly explain the pros and cons of any setup to any level of rider,” said Delaney, editor in chief of BikeRadar US. “He can easily distinguish hype from substance, and his enthusiasm for riding bikes is contagious. We’re lucky to have him.”

Before his years at the helm of Dirt Rag, Patterson helped launch Cyclocross Magazine.
