Former Specialized and Trek manager joins Bluetooth communications brand

PITTSBURGH, PA (BRAIN) — Cardo, the maker of Bluetooth communications systems for cyclists, has hired Mike Abrams as its Eastern territory manager, and Brenda Lyons as a Western sales rep.

Abrams has been the Eastern Regional sales manager for Specialized before joining Cardo. Before Specialized, Abrams was territory sales manager for Trek Bicycle for Pennsylvania and New Jersey, first with the Klein/Bontrager brands and then selling Trek/Klein.

Lyons is a former BMX, mountain bike and road racer who joined Advanced Sports International as a sales rep in 2007.

The Cardo BK-1 Bluetooth communication and entertainment system mounts to bicycle helmets and enables cyclists to speak to each other bike to bike, to answer calls using voice activation and listen to music streamed from their phones. Cardo has made communications systems for motorcyclists for years.
