The orders must be placed on the companies' B2B site, Connect.Shimano.com . The offer applies to at-once orders with no minimums. Shipping is via ground.


The Bike Cooperative and Lifeboat Events team up at DealerCamp

LAGUUNA NIGUEL, CA (BRAIN) Tuesday April 17 2012 9:54 AM MT—Lifeboat Events, producers of DealerCamp, is working with The Bike Cooperative at this year's DealerCamp in July.

The Bike Cooperative will promote attendance at the camp and the event's organizers will promote membership in the cooperative. Lifeboat Events will offer an exhibitor discount to the Co-op’s supplier partners.

“This will be our third year at DealerCamp, and it is a fantastic event.” said Nat McAllister, the co-op’s supplier relations director. “We encourage all bike retailers to come meet with vendors directly at this critical pre-season decision making time and decide for themselves what is best for their store. They will have a great experience, and walk away fully prepared for their next season.”

The Bike Cooperative, based in Manchester, New Hampshire, is a member-owned cooperative with a mission of improving the profitability of independent bike retailers.


Ursus offering Italian-made wheels to U.S. dealers

OXNARD, CA (BRAIN) Tuesday April 17 2012 10:16 AM MT—The importer Albabici is now offering U.S. dealers a line of 100 percent Italian-made road wheels from Ursus.

Albabici is importing seven Ursus road wheels, including three carbon clinchers, two carbon tubulars and two alloy clinchers.

The brand's most popular model is the Miura CB58 carbon clincher. These feature 58mm-deep carbon monocoque rims with aluminum braking surface. Hubs are forged Ergal alloy with sealed ball bearings and AL 7075 axles; the cassette body is CNC-machined from Ergal 7075 aluminum. Spokes are 20 front and 24 rear Inox in flat black. The front weights 835 grams, the rear weighs 1005 grams and MSRP is $2,150.

All Ursus wheels are compatible with Shimano HG 10 and HG 8/9 speed, Campagnolo 9/10/11 speed, and SRAM.

MTS Sports Group to rep Louis Garnea in the Northwest

Sigma offers triple wireless ROX 9.1 computer

ST. CHARLES, IL (BRAIN) Tuesday April 17 2012 10:06 AM MT—Sigma's new ROX 9.1 computer offers several new features, including the ability to download and analyze ride data. It calculates pedal efficiency showing the distance travelled with each crank revolution. A new Ghost Race function allows riders to race themselves in real time on a predetermined course. Additionally, a new power calculation measures the number of watts required to move the bike forward.

The computer display can be personalized to show only the functions that are most important to the individual rider. The ROX 9.1 includes a soft-cloth chest strap, a docking station and evaluation software. It retails for $229.99 and is available this spring.
