Osprey adds two bike reps • Cervélo frame wins award at carbon show • Cycling photography book wins Tucson ad federation prize

CORTEZ, CO (BRAIN) Feb 28—Osprey Packs, Inc., has added two new bike sales reps to its team.

Jacob Jacques will take over the Michigan and Northern Ohio regions and Michael Lax will cover Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.

Osprey created a separate sales team to service the IBD channel in the summer of 2010 as part of the brand’s growth strategy for the newly introduced bike, commute and Hydraulics hydration collections. 


Cervélo frame wins award at carbon show

LAS VEGAS, NV (BRAIN) Feb 28, 11:56 MT—Cervélo's pricy made-in-California frame model, the R5ca, won an Award for Composites Excellence for Most Creative Application at the Composites 2012 trade show here.

The frame beat out other applications such as a "Materials Transform Worksurface" and a "Universal Vacuum Fixture" to garner the prize.

The American Composites Manufacturers Association recognized the frame for "a new pinnacle of performance and efficiency in the application of carbon composites to sports equipment."


Cycling photography book wins Tucson ad federation prize

TUCSON, AZ (BRAIN) Feb 28, 10:26 MT—A book that combines bicycling with photography earned a Silver Addy Award from the Tucson Advertising Federation.

Written and photographed by Martha Retallick, Bike-tography presents a collection of photos from her bicycle travels throughout the United States, and in her hometown of Tucson.
