Action plans February expo in New Jersey

CARLSTADT, NJ (BRAIN)—Distributor Action Bicycle has scheduled its annual dealer expo for Sunday, February 26, at the Crown Plaza Meadowlands Hotel & Exhibition Center.

The company says it already has commitments from 40 vendors who will display at the show.

“One of our goals has been giving dealers a hands-on experience with us and our top vendors,” said Action’s says Nick D’Andrea. “Not every dealer gets to go to Interbike or other trade shows. We really like having our partners in one place for a day of learning new products, winning prizes and receiving generous discounts. It really has turned in to the area’s local trade show.”

Specialized dealers nominate Trips for Kids recipients

MORGAN HILL, CA (BRAIN)—Seven Trips for Kids local chapters are receiving grants from Specialized after being nominated by the company’s dealers.

The chapters are each receiving a grant package that includes six new bikes, 10 helmets, tune ups at the nominating retailer’s store and funds from the sale of TFK water bottles.

"TFK gives a very 'special' thanks to Specialized,” said Marilyn Price, Trips for Kids founder and director. “Here in Marin, we worked with Bryce Kirk at Tam Bikes and loved connecting with a local shop that has supported us through the years."

The Specialized Dealer Grant program gives local Specialized dealers the opportunity to link more closely to events in their community and support the causes they believe in.

Another round of grants will be available for Trips for Kids chapters in January 2012. Information on the grant nomination program is available on the
Specialized website.
