LAGUNA HILLS, CA (BRAIN)—Toby Hill has joined the editorial ranks at Bicycle Retailer & Industry News as senior editor.
Hill brings more than 15 years of wide-ranging editorial experience to BRAIN, having worked on the daily news and business copy desk at the Orange County Register before moving on to edit for several entertainment and business trade publications, including The Hollywood Reporter.
A native of Orange County, Hill has been riding mountain bikes—and, he admits, far too frequently crashing them—in Southern California’s forests and wilderness parks for 20 years.
“I couldn’t be more excited about joining Bicycle Retailer,” Hill said. “It’s long been a goal of mine to marry my journalism career with my passion for cycling.”
When he’s not hitting the dirt (literally as well as figuratively) or getting out on his road bike, Hill can be found cooking up new recipes for his family, savoring a fine craft beer, ogling new bikes and gear at his favorite shop, or enjoying long days at the beach or pool with his 7-year-old daughter, Emma.
