MUNICH, Germany (BRAIN)—Bike Expo reported a 14 percent increase in industry visitors at this year’s show with more than 6,500 in attendance from 50 countries, according to a post-show press release issued by its organizer, Messe München.
The four-day show ended last Sunday. Over the weekend, organizers reported 15,000 consumers attended. A total of 301 exhibitors from 22 countries were set up in four halls at the New Munich Trade Fair.
Klaus Dittrich, chairman and CEO of Messe München said he was pleased with turnout at this year’s Bike Expo.
“The continuing increase in exhibitor and visitor numbers clearly shows that we are on the right track to gain a leading role in the international bike business. The concept of a focused tradeshow with an informative side event program has borne fruit. In addition, the tradeshow’s segmentation according to themes helped the industry to find its optimal location on one hand, and on the other hand, it helped retailers to plan their tradeshow visit as efficiently as possible,” Dittrich said in the press release.
Next year, Bike Expo moves to Aug. 16-19 under its new name, ISPO Bike.
