IRVINE, CA (BRAIN)—Shimano American Corporation has added Portland, Oregon-based Cyclone Bicycle Supply as a new regional distributor for the U.S. market.
The relationship creates improved distribution in a key regional market for Shimano and addresses the specialized needs of customers in and around the Portland area, which has become one of the most progressive bicycle markets in the country.
“This new relationship helps Shimano drive retail success and deliver best in call service, which are two of our key initiatives in the U.S.,” said Lawrence Losinsky, OTC national sales manager at Shimano American Corporation. “Cyclone is a trusted distributor and this relationship enables our products to be available through channels that our customers want to buy through.”
Cyclone will distribute all Shimano components, pedals and service parts to over 2,300 dealers. Cyclone does local delivery as well as delivery by bicycle for local accounts. Cyclone was founded in 2003 in Portland and extensive service, vast product selection, and superior customer service have granted the company an annual average growth of 30 percent since inception.
