Shimano's Meyers Leaves OEM Sales Role

Published June 3, 2011

IRVINE, CA (BRAIN)—Tyler Meyers, Shimano American’s national sales manager for OEM sales, has resigned from his position.

Meyers’ last day was Tuesday. He has accepted a new position in the industry, but is bound by a confidentiality agreement against discussing the job until the move is official.

Meyers, who has been in Shimano’s OEM sales department for the past three years, said the decision to move on was difficult.

“It definitely didn’t come easy. Shimano is a phenomenal company with great people and products. It was a personal decision in terms of two things: work/life balance and challenge and opportunity,” Meyers said on Friday.

Meyers’ resignation comes the same week that BRAIN editor Megan Tompkins announced she would leave her position at the magazine to join Shimano’s OEM sales team.
