Hans Johnsen Picks Up Softride Racks

Published May 17, 2011

BELLINGHAM, WA (BRAIN)—Softride's bicycle racks are now available through the Hans Johnsen Company in Dallas, Texas.

Beginning June 1, Softride’s products will be available through HJC’s parts and accessories offering for IBDs for
availability throughout the Central Southern U.S.

The introduction of new truck specific bike carriers in the Softride Shuttle Pads 61-inch and 54-inch makes this a great time to enhance distribution where Hans Johnsen is strongest, according to a press release issued by Softride.

Steve Mattil, vice president of sales and marketing with Hans Johnsen said: “There are a lot of trucks in our region and a lot of receiver hitches. We are always looking for smart products that fit well in our market to make available to our dealers and we see Softride’s classic and new offerings as a solid value for our dealers.”

“Teaming up with HJC allows Softride to better serve major markets in Texas and Oklahoma with next day availability," added Softride sales manager, Jeff Haley.

Volatile freight costs make it more important than ever for independent dealers to have in-stock warehouses located close to their stores, Haley said.

Both Softride and Hans Johnsen are family owned and operated businesses that have been in their respective communities and the bicycle industry for more than 20 years.
