BLOOMINGTON, MN (BRAIN)—QBP will host an outdoor “ride and try” demo and vendor expo in Ogden, Utah July 24 – 25, 2011.
The event will be hosted at the company’s new distribution center in Ogden, according to a press release.
“We want to give more dealers an opportunity to experience QBP firsthand—and with some of the country's best riding literally outside our doors—this is an ideal way for dealers to understand the essence of our brands by getting on the bikes and riding them," said Rich Tauer, QBP product director. “Given the timing of this event, there will be
opportunities to actually ride and assess next year’s model component releases from a variety of suppliers.”
He added that by getting to know employees, dealers get a deeper sense of each brand’s unique focus and culture. Showcasing products from a select group of top vendors, the event will include tours of the LEED Gold-certified facility followed by dinner and festivities for dealers. Demos of mountain, road, transportation and urban bikes from All-City, Civia, Salsa, Surly and Ridley will be held on mountain roads and trails in the neighboring Wasatch Range.
Steve Flagg, president of QBP, said the dates were selected with dealers’ schedules in mind, including those attending Dealer Camp, which will be held at the Deer Valley
Resort in Park City, Utah on July 26 – 28.
“We know it is hard for dealers to take time away from their businesses, this way they can multi-purpose and consolidate travel, and don’t have to choose one event over the other,” said Flagg. “Ogden is conveniently located only 68 miles north of Park City.”
An official name for the event will be announced at a later date.
