SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA (BRAIN)—In order to accommodate all the fitness product manufacturers wanting to exhibit at the Health+Fitness Business Expo 2010 (HFB), show organizer Nielsen Expositions has expanded its sold out show hall adjacent to the Sands Expo Convention Center for the 2010 expo to be held September 22-23.
“When we decided to co-locate HFB with Interbike, we anticipated that there would be a sizable crossover retail audience between the two shows,” said Andy Tompkins, HFB and Interbike show director. “But we didn’t expect that the demand for exhibit space—especially from manufacturers not traditionally at the show—would be great enough to expand the show floor.”
Though HFB planned that the show in Las Vegas would be smaller than when at its peak in Denver, HFB 2010 is nearly the same size as HFB 2009 in square footage and number of exhibitors.
Brands exhibiting at the show include BH Fitness, Body Solid, Landice, Lifecore, Lifespan, PaceMaster, Precor, SportsArt, LeMond, Spri and Spirit. Those returning to the show floor include Diamondback, Octane, Powertec, Torque, True Fitness and Vision.
“HFB is a great format to meet new customers, strengthen relationships with existing customers and introduce new products,” said Duane Abbott, Body Solid sales representative. “The show’s new venue in Las Vegas next to Interbike makes us even more excited about what is already one of our best shows every year.”
Clif Bar, a long-time exhibitor at Interbike, has decided to also exhibit at HFB for the first time this year.
“Most of our relationships with the health and fitness industry have been with commercial distribution channels,” said Scott Whipps, vice president of sales, sports retail, for Clif Bar. “We’re excited to exhibit at HFB and hope to strengthen our relationships with specialty retailers and broaden our outreach to a variety of athletes.”
