WEST JORDAN, UT (BRAIN)—Reynolds Cycling has hired Hartmut Bölts as its new European OEM sales manager.
“I am very excited to join the team at Reynolds Cycling and work with their innovative products," Bölts said. “I’m sure that we will continue to grow the Reynolds Cycling business with European OEMs.”
Known throughout the bicycle industry as “Hardy," Bölts began bike racing at age 15 and eventually earned a Silver medal in the 1987 Amateur World Championships in Villach, Austria. Hardy was a pro cyclist from 1988 to 1996. He competed in the Tour de France and all the top European races.
After his pro cycling career, Hardy started in the bike business for a well-known French mountain bike brand, responsible for sales in Germany and Austria. Most recently, Bölts spent nine years as area sales manager for a major German bicycle tire brand and was responsible for OEM and aftermarket sales in several European countries. He is married and has two children and will be based in Oberried, Germany.
