SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA (BRAIN)—Interbike will host the inaugural "Interbike Media Tent at Sea Otter Classic" 2009 during the annual bike festival, expo and race series from April 16-19, 2009 in Monterey, Calif.

"The media at Sea Otter Classic need a space amidst the expo area of the festival that can conveniently accommodate their professional needs. Interbike is excited to sponsor that space," said Rich Kelly, Interbike marketing manager. "The Media Tent will help the working media in their efforts in promoting the bike industry and we are happy to be able to support their work. The attention they bring to the exhibitors and their products makes them essential to the festival and the industry it hosts."

The Interbike Media Tent at Sea Otter Classic, a casual TV studio and working news room designed to help journalists easily cover and produce the news of the Sea Otter festival, is similar to the Media Center Interbike provides at its annual Las Vegas trade show.

For the last four years, the Interbike Media Center has been the premier background for hundreds of interviews with industry heavyweights and celebrities, and has provided a convenient on-floor workspace for journalists working in today's fast-paced reporting world. Interbike believes that the Interbike Media Tent at Sea Otter Classic will bring the best of the Interbike Media Center to the Sea Otter festival arena.

The 20-x-40 foot Media Tent, located near the races' starting line in booths #100-107, will be equipped with basic DSL Internet connections and electrical outlets. Banquet tables and camping chairs will furnish the work and interview spaces available for Sea Otter media to use.

Media partners will be able to use the Interbike Media Tent at Sea Otter Classic as a sheltered and quiet location to record or broadcast news about products, race results, advocacy, etc. during the event. Interbike will be working with videographer Markus Neuert of CycleFilm to conduct interviews throughout the festival that will be available post-Sea Otter on www.Interbike.com and www.InterbikeTimes.com.

"The Interbike Media Center at Sea Otter Classic is a natural extension of a long-time relationship and collaboration between Interbike and Sea Otter," said Frank Yohannon, president and chief executive officer of the Sea Otter Classic. "Interbike's proactive efforts and proven track record of anticipating and meeting media's needs during its own expo and now, the Sea Otter Classic, are a welcome addition to this year's event."
