BTI Website Receives Facelift for 2009

Published April 5, 2009

SANTA FE, NM (BRAIN)—Bicycle parts distributor BTI has launched a revamped and more interactive website.

The new site offers a revised consumer face, new dealer area and presents the public debut of its employee blog. Exclusive brands also receive increased exposure in the new site.

The facelift goes beyond just cosmetics, as BTI has made important strides in stability in recent months as well as several other behind-the-scenes changes.

A three-tiered login system allows multiple employees to place orders without sharing sensitive password information. Each shop can now designate an administrator to manage access rights and buying privileges for each member of their company.

A new secure dealer area provides access to information on buying programs, dealer specific news, specials and featured products. The company will be creating additional "power user" features for this area in coming months, based on continuing dealer feedback.

Functionality for consumers remains largely similar to the previous version. Products and specifications for nearly 20,000 products can be viewed (without pricing) by visitors. Once a customer has found a product they are interested in, a dealer locator is available to help them find a nearby shop.

BTIWHAT, BTI's employee blog, enables everyone to get the real skinny of goings on within the BTI community, plus event info, an insiders view of new products from vendors, and updates on the antics of BTI sponsored racers.

First impressions of the site have been overwhelmingly positive. To see the new consumer pages in action, click on link.
