PROVIDENCE, R.I. (BRAIN)—Interbike’s inaugural Outdoor Demo East starts this morning with about 60 industry exhibitors scheduled to show their wares to retailers at the two-day event.
Exhibitors include large and small bike companies from across the country such as Civia Cycles, Specialized, Delta 7, Giant and Marin Bikes, distributors and component and accessory manufacturers like Chris King Precision Components, NiteRider and Kenda.
The booths—stocked with demo gear—are set up in 60,000 square feet of space at Roger Williams State Park in Providence, Rhode Island.
Also at the park, the National Bicycle Dealers Association will sponsor two SuperSeminars a day to cover topics on how to train an effective store manager; how to succeed in 2009 given the tough economic environment; how to improve service department profitability; and merchandising techniques.
Mavic and SRAM will host tech clinics on both days.
Interbike created Outdoor Demo East to better support retailers in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions who may not be able to attend Outdoor Demo outside Las Vegas during Interbike.
Demo East runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and tomorrow.
