Published February 5, 2008

NOVATO, CA (BRAIN)—Marin Bikes will be displaying and demo’ing its 2008 bikes, and Marin Bikes staff and Shaums March of Mad March Racing will hold special raffle tickets for dealers attending the Decline/Road Magazine Street Block Party.

Marin Bikes and Mad March Racing members will be wearing blue shirts with “Road to the Cure” on the front and back. Dealers attending the event who spot the special ticket holders will receive free tickets for a raffle to benefit the Michael Hoefflin Foundation and Breakaway from Cancer.

Among other prizes the raffle will feature an expansive collection of sports memorabilia including autographed items from cycling’s elite as well as mainstream sports stars such as Muhammad Ali and Pete Rose.

The event will be held immediately after the Stage 6 finish at the Valencia Westfield Mall in Santa Clarita, CA on February 23. Regular tickets will be sold to the public for $5.

“We’re pleased to team up with Decline Magazine in a fun philanthropic benefit while increasing our interaction with IBD’s in the region,” said Steve Glazer, Marin’s national sales manager. ”Not to mention that it’s a Dave House event, so it has to be a good time.”

Marin Bikes will display its latest line of bikes including the all-new Quad Trail series of full suspension bikes and the 2007 Mountain Biking Magazine All Mountain Bike of the Year, the Marin Mount Vision.

Shaums March will be on hand to conduct mini skills camps at the booth for riders of all ages and skill levels. “This is a great venue to showcase cycling to both riding enthusiasts and the general public”, said the two-time Masters DH World Champion. “We have the opportunity to share the fun of riding bikes with people who do not ride as well as take in the sights of a world class race.”
