Dahon unveils foldable e-cargo bike

Published February 28, 2023

UTRECHT, Netherlands (BRAIN) — Dahon debuted its first foldable e-cargo bike at the E-Bike Xperience here last week. Designed for stress-free mobility, it has a low center of gravity and folds quickly and compactly — reducing its size by 35% — making it an easy fit for tight spaces like elevators, according to Dahon.

It has two 24-inch front wheels and a 20-inch rear wheel, five gears, with four levels of electric assist, and a 250W mid-motor. It has a range of 99-124 miles with its 48V/20Ah Samsung battery.

Cargo capacity is 551 pounds. Child seats can be fitted, and parts fit together into the cargo box if disassembled.

The unfolded dimensions are 80 inches long, 36.9 inches wide, and 34.5 inches tall. Folded, its length is reduced to 50.1 inches.
