Terra Trike offers affordable e-trike, the Charge

Published January 18, 2023

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (BRAIN) — TerraTrike's new Charge model features the brand's "lively and maneuverable tadpole layout" at an entry-level price of $3,249.

The Charge is powered by a motor from the Danish e-bike motor brand, Promovec. The rear hub motor delivers 43 Nm of torque and runs on a 374 Wh battery mated to a large-display controller. Terra Trike says the Promovec system remains legal for regulated rail trails throughout the U.S.

"This new Charge is going to open doors for so many riders wishing to extend their riding range with the addition of e-assist and the comfort a tadpole trike brings" said TerraTrike Sales and Marketing Director Marshall Randall. "We're seeing a number of new offerings in the more upright delta style e-trikes, where you have two wheels in back, which is great, but we're confident that riders wishing for a bit more comfort, stability and performance will fall in love with the benefits of the Charge."

The trike is spec'd with mechanical disk brakes, Rapid Axles for quick and easy removal of the front wheels and an 8-speed drivetrain.

"I've never been so proud of a price-point trike," said Randall. "People of all ages and abilities can now enjoy the comfort, safety and just the pure fun of an e-assist trike at a lower cost of entry than we've ever been able to offer."

Terra Trike is part of the WizWheelz, Inc. family of brands, which also includes GreenSpeed. Terra Trike has over 250 dealers with 300 retail doors internationally.
