CHICAGO (BRAIN) — SRAM's new Code brakes are based on the company's Guide brakes, with larger fluid reservoir and pistons for more power for downhill racing and e-MTB use.
"The new Code is designed to deliver massive power, predictable modulation and incredible heat management for braking control on the longest descents and under the burliest loads," the company said.
SRAM said the Code brakes offer 15 percent more power than Guide. They feature the company's SwingLink and Lever Pivot Bearings at the lever, with a 30 percent more fluid volume. The brakes have SRAM's Bleeding Edge bleeding feature. MSRP is $244.
SRAM also is offering the Code R brakesm which combine a SRAM DirectLink lever with the Code caliper. MSRP is $154.
