CORONA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Troy Lee Design's new A2 MIPS helmet combines EPP (for slow speed impacts) and EPS (for high speed impacts) in critical impact zones to manage energy from impacts. It also features MIPS rotational impact protection.
With the introduction of the A2, the A1 model price has been reduced to $139 with MIPS. The new A2 is $169 MSRP, or $175 in special SRAM or reflective editions.
The A2 features a polycarbonate shell with a filament-reinforced shell liner. It has anondized aluminum hardware with breakaway technology, a comfort liner with hydrolytic foam and X-Static fabric. It meets certification standards including CPSC 1203, CE EN 1078 and AS NZ 2063:2008.
It has a large eyeport and side clearance for google or glasses fit and multiple configurations for glasses storage. It comes with TLD helmet back and accessory sticker kit and extrs visor hardware and comes in 13 color/design options.
