Fix It Sticks adds tire lever 'bit' for its Replaceable multi-tools

Published January 23, 2017

APPLETON, Wis. (BRAIN) — Fix It Sticks is expanding its product line with a tire lever attachment for the "replaceable" version of its Fix It Sticks multi-tool.

The tire lever ends were designed as a "bit" the Fix It Sticks tire lever to reduce space and weight.

The tire levers slip over the top of the Replaceable Edition Fix It Sticks by using a steel bit that is molded inside the lever. The lever magnetizes into any Replaceable Edition Fix It Stick and clicks securely into place. The Replaceable Edition Fix It Stick functions as the steel handle to strengthen the lever.

The levers are also compatible with the Fix It Sticks T-Way Wrenchshop tool.

The levers are molded with an wide scoop to effectively reach under and extract the tire bead. The material was chosen for strength and low friction.

The company said prototypes tested by shop mechanics to verify that the levers are strong enough to support daily use.

"We are so happy with the tire lever design. They are small, light but incredibly durable. You can use these in the shop or on the road. The feeling when they magnetize in place is very satisfying and the shape is perfect for tight tires," said Brian Davis, Fix It Sticks' founder.

"We had our first prototype for this years ago but it took some time to get it just right, and now it is indeed just right."

The tire levers are sold in pairs and retail for $9.99. Replaceable Edition Fix It Sticks sell separately for $29.99, which includes a carrying case and eight bits.

Levers are available to IBS via distributors.
