Crankbrothers introduces lightweight version of its Mallet enduro pedal

Published November 17, 2016

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. (BRAIN) — Crankbrothers is now offering a premium edition of its Mallet enduro pedal. The Mallet E 11 features titanium wings and dual-chamfered edges.

"The Mallet E 11 is the lightest Mallet ever — designed and engineered for the rider who wants the best of the best, and nothing less," the company said.

The titanium wings reduce weight, while the dual chamfered edges reduce weight and deflect rock strikes. It is available in a double-anodized black and gold color. The pedal has a 52mm q-factor for maneuverability on tight trails, a customizable traction pad interface, concave platform for secure foothold, six adjustable pins per side for grip, a ribbed body for better traction when unclipped, a hex alloy endcap for durability, four-sided entry, customizable float and release angle, Enduro cartridge and Igus glide bearings and a double bearing seal system.

They weigh 385 grams per pair (the standard Mallet E pedals weigh 419 grams per pair) and have a 5 year warranty. MSRP is $350.
