TEMPE, Ariz. (BRAIN) — State Bicycle Co.'s new Megalith Fat Bike is designed for snow, sand or pavement. The model comes in two colors: Midnight Blue or Neapolitan and with singlespeed or 8-speed drivetrain.
The bikes have 4130 chromoly frames with an integrated bottle opener. They have 26x4.0 tires and 100mm drilled fat rims. They are set up wth Avid BB5 disc brakes and GXP cranksets with a narrow-wide chainrings. The singlespeed model is easily converted to geared, and State offers a geared conversion kit for $129 retail.
The singlespeed bike retails for $699; the 8-speed model is $829.
