OMATA launches analog GPS-powered speedometer

Published April 5, 2016

LOS ANGELES (BRAIN) — Omata is launching what it says is the world's first analog GPS speedometer on Kickstarter. The company says its OMATA One speedometer is designed "to complement and maintain the purity of the ride as well as look beautiful on the bike."

The speedometer gets its data from an internal GPS and displays it on a mechanical analog movement showing speed, distance, ascent and time. The GPS records data so that it can be uploaded to training applications or websites.

The OMATA One speedometer launched on Kickstarter on Tuesday with estimated delivery of the first product in February 2017. The Kickstarter price is $499 while MSRP will be $599.
