OLATHE, Kan. (BRAIN) — Garmin is now offering a cycling-specific bundle for its Virb action camera, which includes a new combo mount that attaches a Edge head unit and Virb camera to the same handlebar mount.
The bundle includes a Virb XE camera but not the Edge.
Also included are all the items normally included in the standard VIRB XE package (sticky mounts, batteries, adapters, and other small parts) plus a microSD card, small and large tube mounts, a vented helmet strap, and the new combo handlebar mount.
Garmin says the mount "gives users a simple and lightweight solution to mounting both an Edge unit and a Virb XE. Simply mount the Virb XE upside down underneath their Edge unit, and the camera will automatically rotate the video right side up. This allows users to stay in a comfortable heads-up position for easier monitoring and improved safety."
Several compatible Edge units can also be used as a remote controls for the Virbe XE via ANT+. The Edge can start and stop recording whether the camera is on the handlebars, helmet or under the saddle.
The bundle retails for $449.99.
