Ridley to show updated Fenix road bike and new all-road model at PressCamp

PALL-BERINGEN, Belgium (BRAIN) — Ridley Bikes will debut two new bike models at Bike PressCamp, which is opening Tuesday in Park City, Utah. The Belgium-based brand is showing the media a new Fenix SL road racing model and an all-road model. The company released some details of the road bike on Monday, but is holding back information about the all-road bike — including its name — until the show opens.

The new Fenix SL features a lighter, stiffer frame and a slightly longer wheelbase than the previous Fenix model. The company said the improvements make "the bike sleeker and better equipped for the toughest of road cycling."

Ridley is referring to its new all-road bicycle as "X-Project." Though its official launch is slated for Eurobike in August, the bikes will be available for a pre-launch test rides at Summer PressCamp.

"Ridley's strong heritage in road and cyclocross racing are fused together to create an entirely new category of bicycle," said Richard Wittenberg, Ridley’s vice president of international operations.  "The X-Project is a true combination of road speed and 'cross ruggedness."

Ridley also will present its 2016 line of cyclocross bikes at PressCamp. The line includes the X-Night, X-Night SL and the X-Ride.
