OLNEY, Ill. (BRAIN) — Magura is releasing a limited edition of its MT7 brakes, called the MT7 Raceline. The Raceline features the neon yellow color previously available only to pro racers. The color is reminiscent of the Raceline hydraulic rim brakes used by Magura-sponsored pros like John Tomac and Shaun Palmer in the 1990s.
Now the MT7 Raceline is being used by Shaun Palmer and The Intense/Palmer Project Team, Brian Lopes, Chris Kovarik, Claire Buchar, and Danny MacAskill and his Drop and Roll Team.
The MT7 is Magura's top of the line four-piston caliper introduced last year. Features include a super-lightweight brake lever housing made from Magura's proprietary Carbotecture SL, an ergonomic two-finger brake lever with reach adjustment and a forged brake caliper that houses magnetiXchange brake pads for easy pad changes. The brakes weigh 375 grams.
Two thousand sets of the MT7 Raceline will be available worldwide and Magura USA will get 500 brakes for distribution in the States. The MSRP of single brake will be $310.00 and does not include rotor or bracket.
