The CLUG wall-mount bike clip has award-winning packaging

Published May 8, 2015

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (BRAIN) — The CLUG wall-mounted bike storage clip won a Dieline packaging design award, recently presented in Chicago.

The CLUG was second in the Sports and Games Products category, behind the Sling Slang yo-yo and Karl Lagerfield's Barbie.

CLUG's CEO said the award was "a huge win for Vancouver," especially as the new company began shipping the product only a few months ago.

"We've always felt design is about a holistic vision and we're delighted to have this recognised, having considered every aspect of the CLUG from the way it looks, to the way it works - even the packaging, with its drill guides and tire sizing is simple and functional."

The award judges cited the CLUG's tiny size as a key reason for the award, but also highlighted that it "packs a whole load of function into its tiny form. The elegantly simple yet incredibly useful packaging follows suit, cramming all the features you need to select and install your CLUG into a simple and responsibly sized pack."

The Clug is offered in three sizes, for varying tire widths, and in eight color combinations. The packaging can be displayed on a wall or counter, and includes a drill guide.
