Praxis offers wide-narrow chainrings

Published June 20, 2014

APTOS, Calif. (BRAIN) — Chainring specialist Praxis Works is now offering mountain bike rings with a wide/narrow tooth profile for chain retention. The rings are machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and hard anodized to take a beating.

The rings are designed for four-arm, 104mm bolt circle cranks and are available in 32-, 34-, 36- and 38-tooth sizes. They are compatible with 10-speed Shimano, KMC or SRAM chains and 11-speed SRAM XX1 chains.

The rings must be used with a mid- or long-cage clutch-type rear derailleur. For very rough terrain, Praxis still recommends use of an upper chain guide.

MSRP: $50-$55 depending on size.
