DENVER (BRAIN) — Sampson is now shipping its 11-speed cassette, which was announced last summer. The company said the cassette production was delayed to improve its shifting speed. The cassette also now features a gold-colored EN coating versus the originally planned nickel-chrome plating.
The Shimano and SRAM-compatible cassette uses an alloy spider to reduce weight, along with a 7075 aluminum lockring. The cogs are ramped and gated and spacing has been refined over the 2013 version to produce very fast shifts with low noise.
The 11-25 cassette weighs 243 grams with lockring. The cassette is also available in 11-28; other sizes will be added in June.
MSRP: $109.
