Western-style cup holders for bikes

Published June 24, 2013

PARK CITY, UT (BRAIN) — Rocky Mountain Holster is putting a Western twist on the cruiser bike cup holder. Andrew Houston makes each leather cup and beer holder by hand out of leather in Park City, Utah, personalizing it with a stamped name or a little bling.

“I wanted a cup holder with some style and wasn’t satisfied with the plastic handlebar-mounted options available, so I made my own,” said Houston, the company’s founder and president.

The Rocky Mountain bike cup holders can carry cans, water bottles, beer, phones and wallets. They attach to a basket, handlebar, pannier or belt—wherever the leather straps can be looped and snapped.

They’re available at RockyMountainHolster.com. Houston is distributing them himself to shops. The bike cup holder retails for $25.50, or $26.50 for the stained leather version.

Houston is working on a six-pack beer carrier for bikes.
