Ridley marks Campy’s 80th with special-edition bike

Published May 31, 2013

BERINGEN, Belgium (BRAIN) — Marking Campagnolo’s milestone birthday this year, Ridley Bikes will produce a limited run of no more than 80 specially designed Helium SL lightweight race bikes outfitted with the Italian component brand’s Super Record 80th Anniversary groupset.

“Such a unique groupset deserves a bike which not only matches its technological qualities, but also its outstanding design”, said Jochen Bessemans, PR and marketing manager at Ridley. “We have therefore created a Helium SL that truly lifts the 80th Anniversary Collection to a higher level. Of this exclusive bike, a maximum of 80 will be built.”

The Helium SL is ridden by WorldTour team Lotto-Belisol. The special-edition frame was designed with subtle red accents to complement Campagnolo’s limited-run groupset, Bessemans noted.

Suggested retail: 8,999 euros ($11,700).
