SANTA CRUZ, CA (BRAIN) — The Sweep is the newest addition to X-Fusion’s 34-millimeter-stanchion line of forks. Joining the Slant (26-inch) and the Trace (29er), the Sweep is a dedicated 27.5-inch-wheel fork.
What sets it apart from other forks as a dedicated 27.5-inch (or 650b) fork, X-Fusion says, is its 46-millimeter offset, which matches the handling characteristics found on the 26-inch and 29-inch forks.
The Sweep contains X-Fusion’s RL2 damper system with Mid-Valve technology, featuring rebound adjustment and an on-the-fly lockout lever. It’s also the first fork to get X-Fusion’s Nvolve custom seals, to improve seal life and reduce friction.
Travel on the four models ranges from 120 millimeters on the Sweep RL2R, to 160 millimeters on the RL2. The RL2 DLA—Down Low Adjust—features on-the-fly travel reduction from 160 down to 130 millimeters.
The early 2014 model year release should be available this June. MSRP starts at $599.
